This week, we delve into Frank's vicious hatred for winter and the cold. Why flushing baby wipes is a really bad idea and how to fix that mess. Then we move into familiar territory. A recap of the Thursday night shows and some recently seen. Then we move on to segment two.
We have some listener submittes stories and articles that are really interesting. Thanks for suggesting them everybody! Then we talk a little about "The Ark Encounter" in of all places, Kentucky, near "The Creation Museum." We answer a youtube video entitled "5 questions every intelligent atheist must answer." Hosestly, they weren't that hard to answer. We talk about a man that stockpiled weapons and REALLY listens to Glenn Beck. Then we talk about blowing things out of proportion with a Barbie doll that contains a camera.
There are some more surprises and fun stuff in store for you. Make sure you listen through to the end. There is a great clip (it's a bit long, but worth it.)
Music this week is from:
Chris Bricklemyer - "Are You Serious Theme V.1"
AC/DC - "Mistress For Christmas"
After the Fire - "Der Kommissar"
The Ducky Boys - "Boston, USA"

This week, we were going to do a shorter show, because we didn't think that there was that much to talk about. Boy, were we wrong. We start by talking about Christmas and gift giving. From there, we move into what we've recently seen. Modern Family, Despicable Me, and a bunch of other things are discussed.
Next, we talk about some passages from "The Atheist Bible." The title is a misnomer, as it contains the New Testament with a copious amount of bull si*t from Ray "Way of the Master" Comfort. We specifically address his chapter, "The Ten Most Common Mistakes Atheists Make." From there, we move on to a whole bunch of quick hit news stories. Muslims want to execute a Christina woman, Bo Burmham sings a wonderfully dense and elaborate song, Fox cites The Onion as a credible source and many other crazy stories.
The most important segment of the show is reserved for some audio from a great man that we lost this week. Irvin Kershner, director of "The Empire Strikes Back," died at the age of 87. He once said, "I think it went beyond 'Star Wars'. You had some humor, you got to know the characters a little better. I saw it as the second movement in an opera. That's why I wanted some of the things slower. And it ends in a way that you can't wait to see or to hear the vivace, the allegretto. I didn't have a climax at the end. I had an emotional climax."
Music this week is from:
Chris Bricklemyer - "Are You Serious Theme V.1"
Daft Punk - "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger"
The Art of War - "I'll Take You There"
Letters to Cleo - "Rim Shak"
Concrete Blonde - "Everybody Knows"

This week, Frank has caught up on "The Walking Dead." Almost, he still needs to see the most recent episode. We also discuss the newest Harry Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One." We also discuss some of the more recent episodes of Glee, Modern Family, 30 Rock, Community and some others.
In the second segment, we talk about a little girl named Katie and the problems she has been having at school, all because of something she really likes.
From there, we talk about some recent developments in the Catholic Church and some other locations of incredible bad judgment. We also talk a bit about a new GOP house member that wants his free government health insurance NOW! And, don't forget about Governor Jan Brewer and her new Arizona death panels for the poor on state insurance.

When the Senate begins debating a bill that would eliminate government oversight of the Banking Clan's activities in order to fund the war, Padmé and Ahsoka travel in secret to the capital of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Amidala attempts to forge a peace agreement with the Separatists, while Ahsoka sees, for the first time, the people of the Confederacy. Padmé's friend, Mina Bonteri, spearheads the peace initiative, and convinces the Separatist Congress to sue for peace.
Meanwhile, on Coruscant, Senators Lott Dod and Gume Saam conspire with Banking Clan representative Nix Card and Count Dooku to make the banking deregulation a reality. At Dooku's command, General Grievous engineers an attack at the central power distribution grid on Coruscant, carried out by Separatist demolition droids. The chaos and panic spreads to the Senate, which vehemently rejects the Separatist peace initiative, and votes instead to deregulate the Banking Clan.

Cad Bane has broken Ziro the Hutt out of prison and the Hutt Council demands that Ziro tell them where he's hidden vital, and incriminating, information: a journal detailing the criminal activities of the five Hutt families. Ziro makes another daring escape with the help of his estranged lover, Sy Snootles. Bane is back on the Hutt's trail -- but he's not the only one. The Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Quinlan Vos need to find him too.
A chase through the swamps of Nal Hutta leads the pursuers to Ziro's enormous mother, Mama the Hutt, who points them to the direction of Teth. It is here, in the secret grave of Ziro's father, that the fugitive Hutt has hidden the diary. When he retrieves it, Snooty reveals her true spots. She's a deadly woman scorned and a bounty hunter for hire. She kills Ziro, and returns the journal to her client: Jabba the Hutt.

This week, we return to our normal set-up. We start the show off with Chris talking about his trip to Las Vegas. Everything from toner cartridge bombs being found while his family was in-flight to Vegas, to the casino floors and the people there to dinner at "The Strip House." Warning - Chris may actually get a tiny bit snobbish in this segment!
Next up, we talk about all the stuff that was on T.V. while we were off. 30 Rock, Outsourced, Raising Hope, Community, Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory and just a little bit about The Walking Dead. We also talk about Megamind and Scott Pilgrim Versus the World.
From there, we delve into a bit of current events. Things like the GOP taking back the house and their plan (or lack thereof) is discussed. Chris reads an editorial from a Hawaiian newspaper and then we move on to absolutely great listener feedback.
Thank you so much for your donations toward our proposed trip to the Creation Museum in Kentucky. We still have a way to go, but we're off to a good start! If you want to help us in our quest to see this thing first hand and conduct interviews with as many people as possible at the Museum, take a moment and click the "donate" button on www.areyouseriouspodcast.com Thanks!

In the middle of a routine shopping trip on Coruscant, C-3PO is abducted by the bounty hunter Cad Bane. Bane is looking for information about the Senate building on behalf of Jabba the Hutt. Finding C-3PO devoid of useful information, Bane and his accomplices kidnap R2-D2 and extract the vital data, before memory wiping the droids memory of the incident, and letting them on their way. The floor-plans and security details of the Senate building are part of a plot engineered by the five Hutt families to free their imprisoned brother, Ziro the Hutt, who holds potentially damaging information about Hutt activities.

In this episode, we start off talking about the convention that Chris worked last weekend for Outside the Cinema, Rock and Shock. Many celebrities were met, including George Romero and Judah Freelander.
From there, we move into what is usually our first segment. We talk about Glee, 30 Rock, Community, Outsourced, Big Bang and all the other usual shows. We talk about what we think will be the catalyst for Steve Carell's character to leave the show. After all, doesn't the guy deserve a good break finally?
After that, we move into some of the more ridiculous people that are running for office this year. People like Carl Paladino and Christine O'Donnell. These are people that will outlaw abortion, even in the case of rape or incest, remove amendments from the Constitution, and know nothing about how what they say will affect people in the long run. Be afraid, be very afraid and don't vote for them.
We have what is most likely the best voice mail ever and then we end the show.
Music this week is from:
Chris Bricklemyer - Are You Serious? Theme V.1"
The Art of War - "A Small Victory"
The Art of War - "Stop!!"
The Art of War - "More of Me"
Concrete Blonde - "Everybody Knows"
Bo Burnham - "Art is Dead"
